What a way to start the day! At 1 am this morning, May 26th, Alma Grace was born to Beth Sanchez and Sandy Hurlocker of Española. Beth and Sandy drove up to Taos to have their baby because they wanted a birth center birth with midwives. "Having all the women around me was beautiful and empowering," says Beth. Alma Grace weighs 7 pounds 5 ounces and is 19 1/2 inches long. She's alert as can be and a great nurser; we're so thrilled to meet this little one.
