Taos Pueblo's population increased by one bundle of cuteness!
Ila Antone and Jason Mondragon of Taos Pueblo welcomed their fourth baby with the Midwives! Born mere hours after another birth in the pink room on 1/7/13. The fastest birth in long time....barely made it to the birth room! Perfect and amazing. Little Sunset Mondragon flew out vigorously and weighed 7 lbs 3.5 ozs. She is 20 inches of cuteness.
Northern New Mexico Midwifery Center
We invite you to join our 1000 People Campaign helping us serve mothers and babies in Northern New Mexico. In Taos County, 27.5% of the population lives below poverty level, and unemployment is 15.7%. Approximately 85% of the Midwifery Center's clients are on pregnancy related Medicaid, which reimburses for midwifery services at a rate that does not cover what it costs to provide the services.
We never turn anyone away for inability to pay. We believe that all women deserve compassionate, nurturing and safe care throughout the childbearing year.
The Northern New Mexico Midwifery Center is a non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible! To donate please visit our link below.
